Meet The Breeders

Corey & Lorina Gardner

Natural Rearing Breeders

Our Family. Our Life. Our Journey.

Hi, I’m Lorina. My husband is Corey, and together we are raising our three children here in Idaho.

Two of our boys still live at home with us, and our family life is built around intention, awareness,

and doing things differently than we once did.

That wasn’t always our reality.

In 2006, just before my oldest son’s third birthday, we experienced what I can only

describe as every parent’s worst nightmare. We were handed a diagnosis of severe autism.

Along with that diagnosis came words that still echo in my memory.

That he would likely never speak again.

That he would never say mommy again.

That we should prepare for the possibility of institutional care by his teenage years.

I remember sitting in that doctor’s office, watching my sweet boy overwhelmed in the corner,

banging his head against the wall, completely disconnected.

I had just lost both my mother and my grandmother not long before.

As an only child, the isolation felt suffocating.

I remember thinking, why is this happening to us, to our child, to our family.

The nightmare was not just the diagnosis.

It was the feeling of helplessness.

The absence of real answers.

The sense that we were expected to simply accept a future filled with limitations.

But Corey and I could not accept that.

Instead, we started searching. Real searching.

We began learning everything we could about the body, the nervous system, gut health,

environmental influences, and holistic approaches to support.

We connected with other parents walking similar paths.

We sought out practitioners who were willing to look deeper.

We hired a biomedical doctor because our son’s gut health was in crisis, his behaviors were intense,

and sleep was almost nonexistent.

We spent years traveling hours each week to holistic therapies, appointments, and treatments.

The process was exhausting. Emotionally, physically, financially.

It felt like living in survival mode for a long time.

But slowly, over time, we began to see change.

Moments of connection returned. The self-injuring eased.

His health stabilized. His quality of life improved.

Healing did not happen overnight, but it did happen.

And today, we are deeply grateful for where he is.

He will always live with us, and we fully embrace that. Not from burden,

but from love. He is happy. He is safe.

He is supported.

The environment we have intentionally built around low toxin living, structure, routine,

and holistic health has become the foundation that supports him every day.

That journey changed everything for us.

It changed how we view health. It changed how we live.

It changed what we bring into our home.

It changed how we raise our children.

And it absolutely changed how we care for our dogs.

What we learned while supporting our son’s health naturally extended into every part of our life.

It shaped Little Rogue Danes.

It shaped Feed Primal.

It shaped the education we provide to families.

It shaped our commitment to raising dogs with intention,

supporting their bodies instead of suppressing symptoms,

and honoring the design of the animal.

This is why we do what we do.

Our journey changed us permanently.

And everything we build today comes from that place of experience, education, and conviction.

Our Experience & Philosophy

We didn’t just rely on personal research, Lorina took it further spending 4 years under the mentorship of a holistic veterinarian. Where she was trained to become a small animal naturopath, homeopathy expert, and raw feeding specialist, gaining extensive knowledge in species-appropriate nutrition and holistic animal care.

We don’t just “believe” in natural rearing, we live it.

At Little Rogue Danes, we challenge the status quo. Too many breeders blindly follow conventional practices, over-vaccinating, feeding kibble, and relying on pharmaceuticals. We refuse to be part of that broken system.

Our Danes are raised without vaccines, without microchips, and without synthetic chemicals.... just as nature intended.

Life with Our Dogs

Our dogs are much more than just dogs we breed, they’re family. They are raised in our home, on our land,

with room to run, play, and thrive. They’re socialized through real-world experiences, ensuring they grow into confident, well-balanced dogs.

Because they aren’t compromised by toxins, they develop stronger immune systems,

better gut health, and superior longevity.

Our Promise to You

When you bring home a puppy from Little Rogue Danes, you’re not just getting a dog, you’re gaining lifelong breeders who stand by their program. We choose to raise our puppies away from modern, convenience-driven world of kibble and overmedication.

We raise them to be strong, healthy, and built for a lifetime of thriving.
