Little Rogue Danes

Little Blue Nova – The Foundation of Little Rogue Danes

Meet Little Blue Nova, the first-generation foundation of Little Rogue Danes, a living example of what happens when a Great Dane is raised right from the start.

Born in July 2022, Nova shares a special day with both my anniversary and my youngest son’s birthday.

She came from a massive litter of 14 and was the second-to-last born, proving from day one that she was meant to stand out.

Her Lineage & Build

Nova is the perfect blend of European and American lines, her father is half European, adding substance and structure, while her mother is an American Harlequin, contributing elegance and agility.

She stands 32 inches tall and holds a solid, athletic build at 120 lbs. right in the ideal range for a balanced, powerful Dane.

Naturally Reared from Day One

From the moment she was born, Nova was set up for success with true natural rearing.

Her breeder never gave her vaccines or chemical dewormers and was willing to work with me to ensure she got the best start possible.

Instead of toxins, she was supported with homeopathic nosodes and a natural dewormer mixed into her food, a foundation of true, biologically appropriate care.

When she arrived at 8 weeks old, she transitioned immediately to a raw diet, allowing her body to develop without the damage of processed food, over-vaccination, or pharmaceutical interference.

The results?

A strong, vibrant, resilient Great Dane with better health than most show dogs.

Her OFA and genetic testing results?

They surpass many "show breeder" Danes because health isn’t about a title, it’s about integrity in breeding and rearing practices.

Personality & Lifestyle

Nova is more than just a stunning Great Dane, she’s got a bold, hilarious personality to match. She loves truck rides, sprinting across our land, and, most importantly, having deep, one-sided conversations with our donkey (who, for the record, completely ignores her).

She’s intelligent, affectionate, and fiercely loyal, exactly what I expect from my breeding program.

Our Mission: Producing Healthy, Family-Raised Great Danes

At Little Rogue Danes, we aren’t just breeding Danes, we’re producing healthy, naturally-reared Great Danes for families who refuse to settle for the industry’s broken standards. Our dogs are raised with strength, longevity, and true wellness in mind, never compromised by vaccines, kibble, or chemicals.

Nova isn’t just any Great Dane, she’s proof of what natural rearing can do. While conventional breeders are still dealing with chronic health issues, she thrives without meds, chemicals, or unnecessary vet interventions.

If you’re looking for a healthier, stronger Dane than Little Blue Nova, good luck.

You won’t find one. She is the living standard of what we produce at Little Rogue Danes, a legacy in motion.

Why Little Rogue Danes Does NOT Microchip or Participate in OFA’s CHIC Program

At Little Rogue Danes, we prioritize real health, not compliance with outdated tracking systems. That’s why we do NOT microchip our dogs and do NOT participate in OFA’s CHIC (Canine Health Information Center) program, because wellness should come before unnecessary bureaucracy.

OFA’s CHIC Program: A Convenience, NOT a Requirement for Health

The CHIC program is marketed as a way to compile health data for dogs, often linked to their microchip numbers

for easier tracking. But here’s the truth:

🚨 You Don’t Need CHIC to Prove Health – A CHIC number does NOT mean a dog is healthier, it just means their health tests have been submitted to a database. We already test our dogs thoroughly, and their OFA records can be reviewed directly without forcing them into an unnecessary tracking system.

🚨 CHIC Relies on MicrochippingWhich We Oppose , Many CHIC certifications link to microchip numbers, but we refuse to implant cancer-linked foreign objects into our dogs just to fit into a system that isn’t required for real health.

🚨 Public OFA Records Are Enough – Our dogs’ health records are already available on OFA’s website for anyone who wants to review them. There’s no need to submit them to CHIC, which adds nothing to a dog’s actual wellness.

The Flaws of Microchipping: Why We Refuse to Use It

Microchips are NOT a nationwide or statewide tracking system. The idea that they provide a reliable way to find lost dogs is false.

🔴 No Universal Database – There isn’t one central system for microchips. Instead, multiple private companies maintain separate databases, and if a lost dog isn’t registered with the right one, it may never be identified.

🔴 Microchips Can Fail or Migrate – Chips can die, stop responding, or move to other areas in the body, making them difficult (or impossible) to scan. Some have even migrated near joints, nerves, and vital organs, causing pain and inflammation.

🔴 Cancer Risks Are Real – Studies have linked microchips to tumor formation. Chronic inflammation from a foreign object under the skin is a known precursor to cancer, something we refuse to risk with our dogs.

🔴 EMF Exposure – Scanners use electromagnetic fields (EMF) to detect chips. While marketed as harmless, EMF radiation exposure has been linked to cancer, nervous system damage, and hormone disruption in both humans and animals.

No Microchips, No Tattoos, No EMF Trackers

We also refuse other invasive tracking methods:

🚫 No Tattoos – Tattoo ink contains carcinogens and is not a safer alternative to microchips.

🚫 No GPS or EMF-Based Trackers – Constant EMF radiation exposure from tracking devices is linked to multiple health issues, including neurological disorders and metabolic damage.

Our Solution: Real Responsibility & Natural Rearing

Instead of relying on unreliable, unhealthy tracking systems, we believe in:

Secure Yards – Our dogs live in well-enclosed spaces where they are not at risk of running off.

Training & Recall – A well-trained dog doesn’t need a microchip to stay safe—they need proper handling and responsible ownership.

Publicly Available OFA Records – Our dogs’ health records are already accessible, without requiring them to be tagged like inventory.

Final Word: We Prioritize Real Health Over Bureaucracy

Microchipping is not about health, it’s about convenience. OFA’s CHIC program does nothing to improve a dog’s well-being, and we refuse to compromise our standards just to fit into an unnecessary tracking system.

At Little Rogue Danes, we stand for true wellness, responsible breeding, and natural rearing, not microchips, government databases, or outdated compliance programs.

No microchips. No CHIC program. No compromises. Just healthy, naturally raised Danes.
