Puppy Process
Bringing Home Your Naturally Reared Great Dane.
At Little Rogue Danes, we’ve designed a simple, structured process to help you bring home your naturally reared Great Dane.
1. Fill Out the Puppy Interest Form
Want a Little Rogue Dane in the future but not ready to commit? Submit the Interest Form to receive:
✔️ Litter announcements
✔️ Puppy availability updates
✔️ Exclusive program news
👉 No deposit required—just stay informed!
2. Litter Confirmation, Available Puppies & Application
Once a litter is confirmed, we’ll notify our Interest List via email.
✔️ If there are available puppies, Interest List subscribers will be notified first.
✔️ If you're ready to move forward, submit a Puppy Application.
✔️ Review our FAQs & Website to ensure we're the right fit for you.
3. Waitlist & Deposit Submission
Approved applicants can join our Waitlist by submitting a $100 deposit, which applies toward your full deposit later.
✔️ Waitlist spots do not guarantee a specific litter or gender
✔️ When an opening becomes available, you'll move into a confirmed reservation spot
✔️ Waitlist placements are filled after full-deposit reservations
Once you move into a confirmed reservation, you’ll have 48 hours to submit your deposit full non-refundable($500 total, minus your $100 Waitlist deposit).
👉 This is the best option if you want a future puppy but are flexible on timing and gender.
4. Puppy Birth & Gender Reservation
Once puppies are born, we’ll confirm if your preferred gender is available.
If not, you can:
✔️ Choose the opposite gender (if available)
✔️ Roll your deposit over to the next planned litter
5. Week 7: Temperament Testing & Puppy Selection
At 7 weeks, all puppies undergo Volhard Temperament Testing, conducted by an independent evaluator.
✔️ If only one puppy matches your needs, that puppy will be selected for you
✔️ If multiple puppies match, you’ll choose in deposit order
This ensures the best possible match for both you and your Dane!
6. Week 8: Puppies Go Home!
At 8 weeks, puppies are ready for pickup during a 3-5 day window.

Common Questions
Is My Deposit Refundable?
NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT POLICY
Deposits for a Little Rogue Dane are non-refundable unless I am unable to provide you with a puppy.
Refunds will only be issued in the following situations:
The litter is smaller than expected.
A puppy passes away in my care.
If we determine that our program is not the right fit for your family, we reserve the right to refund your deposit at any time.
If your preferred gender is unavailable, you have two options:
Choose the opposite gender (if available).
Roll your deposit over to the next planned litter.
How Does Puppy Selection Work?
Once puppies are born, I’ll confirm gender availability and ensure you have a secured placement in the litter.
At 7 weeks old, all puppies undergo Volhard Temperament Testing, performed by an independent third party.
This testing evaluates personality, energy level, and overall suitability for different homes.
✔️ We highly encourage owners to visit at Week 7, right after temperament testing, to allow the puppy to choose them. This creates a stronger bond and ensures the best match.
✔️ If an in-person visit isn’t possible, selections will be made based on temperament testing results and deposit order.
✔️ If only one puppy matches your needs, that puppy will be selected for you.
✔️ If multiple puppies match, you’ll choose in deposit order.
This ensures every Little Rogue Dane is placed in the best home for long-term success!
How Many Deposits Do You Accept?
We accept 8 full deposits at a time, covering up to two planned litters. Once full, families can join the Waitlist with a $100 deposit, which applies toward the full deposit when a spot opens.
Since litter sizes and gender breakdowns can’t be predicted, some families may need to wait for the next litter if their preferred gender isn’t available.
The sooner you apply and submit your deposit, the higher your placement on the list—giving you the best chance of securing a naturally reared Great Dane.
👉 No gender preference? You’ll get priority in puppy matching, significantly reducing wait times!
How Long Is the Wait for a Puppy?
Wait times vary based on:
✔️ Litter timing
✔️ Availability
✔️ Your place on the reservation list
We typically plan for 1-2 litters per year, and demand for our naturally reared Great Danes is high.
On average, families wait 6 to 18 months for their puppy.
The earlier you submit your application and deposit, the better your chances of bringing home a Little Rogue Dane sooner.
